Custom Lightweight Kite Buggy
Mechanical Design
Client desired mechanical design for a kite buggy capable of holding a passenger up to 180 lbs, with buggy weight limited to 30 lbs and budget of $400. Initial sketches were made, a design was decided upon and modeled, and critical stress points were determined and verified through FEA. Safety factor was calculated and verified, and wheel components were selected. Delivered full report, render, and 3d printed prototype to client explaining design decisions and structural analyses.
